Principal, Montgrove CollegeWelcome, and thank you for your interest in Montgrove College. As you browse through these pages, I hope you will be able to gain some insight into what makes our school such an exciting place.
Although a relatively young school, Montgrove has already developed a reputation for academic excellence and outstanding community spirit. We offer many opportunities for leadership, as well as a wide range of co-curricular activities in sport, the creative arts and public speaking.
We work in partnership with you as parents to ensure that all students receive a truly well-rounded education that not only caters to the students’ academic needs but also develops their character and leadership qualities.
Education at Montgrove looks beyond the school years and towards the future, equipping our students with the skills necessary to lead an authentic and enriching life. We cultivate a love of learning and a sense of responsibility that encourages students to use their knowledge and personal qualities to contribute to the good of the family and society.

1:1 Mentoring
At Montgrove, no student goes unnoticed. From Kindergarten to Year 12, each student is supported by our personalised one-on-one mentoring system.
Paired with a dedicated mentor, meeting regularly throughout the term, these conversations are warm and intentional, guiding your daughter as she reflects on her goals, builds resilience, and grows in confidence and virtue.
Mentoring at Montgrove uniquely requires your active involvement. Meeting with you once a term, mentors listen, share, and align with you on what matters most. This ongoing partnership strengthens the connection between home and school, ensuring your daughter is guided by consistent values and a united vision.
Our mentoring model provides:
- Fortnightly one-on-one mentoring tailored to your daughter’s stage and personal goals
- Guidance across academic goals, friendships, faith and character
- Early identification of challenges, with gentle support or timely intervention
- A dedicated mentor who forms a long-term relationship of trust and encouragement
- Regular mentor-parent meetings to align support and strengthen your role as her primary influence
Academic Initiatives
Our aim is to challenge each student to reach his full academic potential through effective classroom teaching and the development of internalised motivation and good habits.
Initiatives at Montgrove designed to support your daughter include:
- Deep Learning Framework – Montgrove applies the Deep Learning Framework to foster independent, reflective learners. Based on Michael Fullan’s research, this approach encourages students to set goals, evaluate their progress and grow in competencies like communication, collaboration and problem-solving—preparing them to thrive beyond school.
Primary School:
- Spalding Literacy Program – Literacy is taught through the evidence-based Spalding Method, which integrates phonics, writing, spelling and comprehension in a multisensory way. This structured, sequential approach supports students in becoming confident, articulate communicators with a love of language.
Secondary School:
- Enrichment opportunities in English, Maths and Science for high-achieving students.
- Extension tasks embedded within class programs and project-based learning.
- Option to complete VET (Vocational Education and Training) courses as part of the HSC (e.g. Business Services, Hospitality).
Montgrove Co-curricular Program
Montgrove College is known for its co-curricular offerings. With a well-established and ever-growing program, the College sees involvement in these activities as an opportunity for students to explore their talents and grow in character.

Infants
Montgrove, Orchard Hills
Our Infants Programs nurture children aged 5 to 7 in a bright, supportive environment, fostering a love of learning, strong character, and essential literacy and numeracy skills and a well-rounded curriculum.
Primary
Montgrove, Orchard Hills
The emphasis of learning in the Junior School is the establishment of proficient literacy and numeracy skills to assist in the development of critical thinking and higher order conceptual understanding.
Secondary
Montgrove, Orchard Hills
Our Secondary school provides a rich and stimulating learning environment which encourages each girl to reach her potential, academically, creatively, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and physically. Our program nurtures the whole person.
Enrolment Process

ATTEND AN OPEN DAY
Registration is required to attend. Registered participants will be invited to attend the next available Open Day.
If the Open Day is fully booked, there is no event currently running, or you are interested in a long-term future date, please register your interest so that our Enrolments team can notify you of future Open Days.

Invitation to Apply
Attendance at an Open Day is required prior to receiving an application form. Once attendance is verified an application form is sent. Submissions will be charged an application fee ($100 per new family, no additional fee for siblings).
Please note that applications are subject to availability at all stages of the enrolment process. If there is no placement available for a particular cohort, the application will be waitlisted.

Interview selection
Applications and assessments will be reviewed. A selection of suitable applicants will be invited to attend an interview with the School Leadership Team.

Receive notification
An official enrolment offer OR notification of unsuccessful application is sent.

Acceptance
Applicants who receive an offer are invited to accept. Once accepted an enrolment acceptance fee is charged ($500 for first child, $200 for each additional child).
